PASSPORT WARNING: Beware bogus passport services

Safer Tourism has today issued a passport warning to holidaymakers to beware of bogus passport services.
Passport Office staff are on strike resulting in delays with applications and renewals.
Adding to the misery of holiday hopefuls, fraudsters and scammers are exploiting the backlogs, offering bogus ‘fast track’ services designed to steal money as well as their personal data.
Today, Googling ‘uk passport renewal’, three sponsored posts advertised their services to jump the queue.
Beware bogus passport services
Holidaymakers should ONLY deal with the Passport Office for new and replacement passports.
No private company can help you jump the queue.
Don’t reply to unsolicited emails, texts, social media or calls with holiday offers or offers for fast track passport services.
