4. Six questions to ask yourself before booking your next holiday abroad

Can I do all the things I want to do when I get there?

Yes

No

Coronavirus means that museums, galleries, shops, restaurants and even beaches may have reduced capacity or limited opening times.

And some activities may not even be running.

Travel operators set their own rules for customers and passengers.  For example, terminal lounges may be closed, hotels may not be offering room service, your check in times might be affected to ensure social distancing and a daily cleaning service may no longer be available.

Even if you are travelling to a location you know well, the impact of coronavirus could result in a very different kind of break.  So check you can do all the things you want when you reach your chosen destination. Otherwise, it might not feel like a holiday after all.
