Over the Summer, we saw quarantine rules change with very little notice, and plenty of holidaymakers faced a mad scramble to return to the UK, usually with very little notice.
Holidaymakers faced disappointment as their breaks were cut short, and incurred the unexpected costs of their hasty return.
The red list is changing and will be updated every three weeks.
If you are travelling to England from a red list country you must:
- take a COVID-19 test – you must take the test in the 3 days before you travel to England
- book a quarantine hotel package, including 2 COVID-19 tests and quarantine in a managed hotel
- complete a passenger locator form
From Monday 4 October 2021, the rules for international travel to England will change but there will be no change to the rules for red list arrivals. Different rules apply to residents of Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland.
